Basilica History

The Our Lady of Victory Basilica is located in Lackawanna, NY. Construction started in 1921 and was finished in 1925. The idea for the basilica came from Father Nelson Baker, and was primarily funded by his efforts. It cost $3.2 million and is filled with marble of stained glass. The basilica has many gothic features including a nave, an apse, and ambulatory. It is still an active church today.
